The Scrum Guide 2020 Reordered

November 24, 2020
This is part #36 of 59 in the series Scrum Guide 2020 Updates

TL; DR: The Scrum Guide Reordered

The Scrum Guide Reordered 2020 is based on about 95 percent of the text of the Scrum Guide 2020, extending its original structure by adding additional categories, for example, on self-management, commitments, or accountability.

The Scrum Guide–Reordered allows you to get an understanding of Scrum-related questions quickly. For example, it is good at relating a specific topic — say “stakeholder” — with Scrum’s first principles such as Scrum Values or empiricism.

The Origin of the Scrum Guide Reordered

The original edition of the Scrum Guide Reordered resulted from my preparation to pass Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Master III certification on my path to becoming a Professional Scrum Trainer (PST).

While the Scrum Guide 2020 Reordered does not answer all questions you might have immediately, I found it very helpful to identify the patterns and principles used throughout the Scrum Guide. Moreover, it is a great tool to start meaningful discussions with your peers.
