Stop hiring PMs. But not really, right?

Stop hiring PMs. But not really, right?

Today’s episode is a bit longer than usual, but it’s PACKED with great things, so I hope you don’t mind.  If you’re listening to me during your commute this morning you might have to press pause when you arrive at work and finish the episode on your way back home, but I promise I would not do that to you if it wasn’t worth it.

Today I have my new friend Andy Kaufman – and I promise I will not make any jokes or references to Taxi or anything like that.  Wait, I think I just made a reference.  Sorry Andy.  I’m sure he is used to it though! Andy is a fantastic speaker, author, and project manager, and I am a big fan of his work.  Today we will talk about his idea that we should stop hiring project managers.  It sounds intriguing, but I’m sure he’ll explain exactly what he means.  I will also ask him the famous PM for the Masses 5 questions.

After my conversation with Andy I will bring you a short chat I had recently with Mr. Shim Marom, who will explain to us his awesome little project that has taken the PM blogosphere by storm, called the PM FlashBlog.  So, without any further ado, let’s get started!

Shim Marom and the PM FlashBlog

A few weeks ago I was approached by Shim Marom, a PM in Australia, about a great initiative in which he was trying to get a number of PM bloggers to write a blog post with the same title, to be released on the same day, at the same time.  This day is coming up this week, so I thought I’d bring Shim to the podcast today to tells us all about it.
