Hot Topics at IIL’s Agile & Scrum 2023 Online Conference

By Ashley Jorgensen

Since its creation 8 years ago, IIL’s annual Agile & Scrum Online Conference has quickly become a gathering place for Agile enthusiasts from all around the world, and this year is no exception. We at IIL are so excited to reconnect with past attendees and welcome new ones! With attendees and speakers spanning a multitude of industries and levels of expertise, this year’s AgileCon promises to offer something for everyone.

While coined in the 1980’s, the term “VUCA” has become extremely prevalent in current conversations about how we do business. In a world where we are experiencing more volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity than ever before, it has never been more important to find new, innovative ways of overcoming and thriving in these circumstances. This year’s Agile & Scrum Online Conference brings together an incredible lineup of speakers and professionals from across the globe to speak on just that. Here are some key emerging topics that you can expect to see at #AgileCon2023

  1. Business Agility & Agile Leadership
Organizations around the world have been pushing Agile transformations for years, but what does it take to successfully implement Agile, and what is the most efficient way to lead Agile teams? Without knowing the answer to these key components up front, it can be difficult to get your team onboard with Agile ways of working. Keynote speakers Ahmed Sidky and Shannon Huffman Polson bring these topics to the forefront of their presentations on business agility and leading with grit.
  1. Artificial Intelligence and Agile
It’s hard to complete a conversation around the future of business without speaking about recent advancements in AI technology. While it is incredibly important to use these tools ethically and responsibly, there is no denying the impact AI has had and will continue to have on our world. To fully understand the best way to ethically utilize these tools, it is important to understand their current effect on our industries and the work that we do. Interested in learning more about AI and the role it can play in our Agile teams? Be sure to check out our opening and closing keynote speakers, Joe Justice and Dawn Nicole McIlwain, and make sure you don’t miss their live Q&A sessions on June 1st!
  1. The Power of Diverse Agile Communities
As leaders and team members from organizations around the world, we understand better than anyone just how powerful strong communities can be. Whether at work or in your personal life, the communities, and people you are surrounded by can support, inspire, and motivate you in ways that aren’t always possible on your own. As a global company, IIL has learned through experience just how beneficial it is when you bring together diverse working communities and set them towards a common purpose. It is why we are so proud to bring you presentations by Jenna Brooks, Priya Patra, Renée Fishel, and many more with a focus on topics surrounding empathy, diversity, and community building through the lens of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  1. Change and Transformation
Conversations surrounding change and transformation in the workplace are nothing new, however, the speed at which we see our world and our business’s evolving in today’s environment can be difficult to keep up with. The volatility and uncertainty of the world around us can certainly make the prospect of transforming our ways of working seem unattainable. How do we find the time to change, and once we do implement change, where does that leave us? These are questions we’ve heard time and time again from our clients, so we’ve brought together industry leaders and professionals who have experienced these transformations firsthand. Be sure to tune in to a Keynote Presentation and live Q&A from Johannes Köber and Stephan Wohlfahrt, as well as presentations from Kamil Mroz, Monika Muddamshetty, and many more.

Between the topics and speakers highlighted above, and many more, this year’s Agile & Scrum Conference is shaping up to be an event you don’t want to miss! Whether you’re an Agile expert, Scrum Master or simply want to know more about how Agile ways of working can help boost you and your teams, we hope that you join us on June 1st for #AgileCon2023.
