POSITIVE MINDSET

Why is it that some people are able to achieve great heights of success, while others simply end up leading average lives? What separates the winners from the mediocre performers? Why do people like Elon Musk, even after innumerable failures, are able to bounce back and continue to work towards their dreams?

The one word answer for this is — MINDSET!!!

Being the leader of a wonderful team here at ProofHub I’ve had the opportunity to work with countless people. And, I’ve noticed that it is not the lack of talent that hinders the growth of individuals; it is their mindset.

While successful people continue thinking big even after failures, the former give up on their dreams quite easily. This is the major difference between the two. If you want to lead a successful life, you need to keep a positive mindset; no matter how tough the situation is.

How to keep a positive mindset during difficult times?

This is where the challenge lies. It’s not easy to always have a positive mindset, but by constantly practicing certain habits you can eventually master this art. Well, here are three simple habits that helped me develop a positive mindset:

Patience

The whole concept of patience lies on attitude. While people think of patience as the ability to wait, it is more about the positive attitude that you keep while waiting.

Take the current scenario for instance. The entire world has been affected badly by the coronavirus pandemic. There’s nothing much we can do about it; except waiting for things to get back to normal. Under such a situation, we can either crib about what’s happening around us, on which we have no control over. Or, we can be patient, and use this as an opportunity to adapt and evolve as an individual, as a professional and as a leader.

Persistence

The thing with persistence is that it guarantees that results are inevitable. No matter how hard it might seem to begin with, you are going to make it in due course of time.

Persistence

As the saying goes — ‘don’t let anyone or anything ever make you feel you don’t deserve what you want.’

Inculcate this in your attitude, and start putting efforts towards reaching your goal. You will hit roadblocks on your way, but don’t let that bring your efforts to a complete standstill. Adapt, innovate and persevere until you succeed.

Perspiration

No matter how much we evolve as professionals and businesses, the one that’s never going to change is that — hard work is the key to success.

If you think success comes easy, take a look at Elon Musk. The guy literally has had more failures in life than successes. However, he still continues to work hard towards making it a reality what many thought is unthinkable. Working hard, having only 4-hours of sleep daily and putting more efforts every day towards making his dream come true.

He is just one of the many examples of tech leaders that work hard day-in and day-out to make success a habit. And, all this is possible because they have the mindset to never say never.

As Elon Musk says — “What makes innovative thinking happen?… I think it’s really a mindset. You have to decide.”

Conclusion

In the end, I’d like to say that since we all are living in times of vulnerability. The threat of COVID-19 is still looming on humanity. However, to stop and give up on our dreams during these times is not going to make things better.

What‘s going to make things better is a POSITIVE MINDSET. You must continue thinking about where you want to be in life, and work towards making it true. Adapt, change and evolve according to changing circumstances. But never give up.

Put your best efforts, and results are bound to come; not immediately but you will definitely reach there.
