It describes the environmental or operating conditions and conveys the comparison of test results with test objectives. This report is a principal and concise form of information transfer from the executor to the customer.

Why Test Reports Are Prepared?

They give more importance to the implementation deadlines, meeting the deadlines in a time frame, the accurate and pure results is the priority assigned. They are not interested in unnecessary technical detailing. The overall statistics of the phase, which should consist of digital and comparative metrics, is their area of concern.

Technical users (Test managers)

This category of the audience like details. The detailed understanding of test progress, Causes of the emergence of problems, and ways to solve them. Construction of test processes with the description of methodologies and technologies to be followed is given more priority.

Final Test Report: This report gives a basic overview of the work done in the form of well-defined metrics and the product's advancement. You will also need to provide in-depth information regarding the product's status, including the number of unresolved defects, probability of the product is thoroughly tested, or any further test cycles that will be considered, overall readiness of the product for release.

Intermediary Test Report: Test Reports shows the progress of your work, which is not constant; it's dynamic. To determine the project's state, they are compared in time intervals like Days, Weeks & Months. This comparison is demonstrated in the form of different metrics.

Based on the goals of the requirement, the metrics are created for each project separately. They provide a comfortable and exact overall comparative representation of all the available projects, and they give a quick overview.

Guidelines To Be Followed While Using Test Report Template

  • Provide your project details like project name, date, version at the specified place.
  • Provide the Document details at their specified place.
  • Can add, edit or delete the contents according to your needs after downloading the template and saving it in your system. It is also highlighted in blue italics format where the content can be added.
