Clearly defining potential project risk factors. Define a smooth and structured process for project execution. The goals and timelines are clearly defined for project delivery. Requirements need not be defined during project initiation. On the other hand, with Agile, your end goals are only loosely defined.

I very nearly placed Axelos PRINCE2 Agile in here and could equally well have done so, but you’ll find that certification discussed in my Tier 2 section. Scrum Alliance was the first (2001) major organization to promote scrum, and to offer its certifications.
