While PMI is an organization for project managers predicting the importance of their own community and you do want to take their figures in context, I do think they have a point. Project managers are the people who can make that happen.

In its Project Management Job Growth and Talent Gap 2017–2027 report, the PMI predicted that by 2027 “employers will need nearly 88 million individuals in project management-oriented roles”.
