Story Sizing We use story points to estimate work size and complexity instead of hours. Relative sizing tools, like t-shirt sizing, are generally reasonable and more accurate than duration estimates. Story points are used to estimate each backlog item’s size and the team’s velocity. Then the family estimates its capacity.
